Squadron 298 is one the Detachments largest and most active! We are here to help
veterans in need and you can help. We donate or time, money and efforts for such
places as the Legion Villa, V.A. and to our Post home. We are very involved with the
Make-A-Wish program granting the wishes of children in southwest Michigan. We
meet the 3rd Sunday at 6 pm September through May
Squadron Commander Pete Miller
The American Legion Riders have adopted the Legion Villa and the Haven of Rest of
Battle Creek as groups that we focus our efforts on. We visit and offer our time and
support to the veterans living at the Legion Villa. Anyone wishing to support this worthy
organization may do so. Caring for our homeless vets is a growing concern, one
which you can make a difference. The American Legion Riders meet the second
Tuesday each month at 6:30 p.m. at Post 298. Questions may be directed to
Doyle Towery, Director or Tom Starkweather Asst. Director.
